2. Measuring and Cutting Rebar

Measure and cut steel bars or mesh to required lengths using tools like bolt cutters, saws, or torches.

3. Bending and Shaping Steel

Bend steel bars into required shapes using bending machines or manual tools, following the specifications from drawings or schedules.

4. Placing and Securing Rebar

Position the steel reinforcement in the correct locations.

Secure the bars together using tying wire, clips, or welding to ensure they maintain the correct position during concrete pouring.

5. Setting Out Work

Mark out and set the steel in place accurately to ensure structural integrity and compliance with design.

6. Working with Concrete Teams

Coordinate with concrete workers to ensure reinforcement is correctly placed before pouring.

May assist in positioning formwork or supporting frameworks for concrete.

7. Safety and Compliance

Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
