International Maritime Industries (IMI) is a prominent maritime facility located in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia. As the largest integrated, full-service maritime yard in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, IMI plays a pivotal role in advancing Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 by fostering economic diversification and industrial growth.

Overview
Established in December 2016, IMI is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Bahri, and Lamprell. The facility spans approximately 12 million square meters and is designed to offer comprehensive services, including new build and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) for various maritime vessels and rigs.

Capabilities and Services
Production Capacity: IMI can construct up to four offshore rigs and over 43 vessels annually, including Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs). Additionally, it provides MRO services for more than 260 maritime products each year.

Advanced Infrastructure: The yard boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including the region's largest ship lift with a capacity of 31,200 tons, extensive drydock areas, and a 9,000-meter quayside.

Smart Yard Technology: IMI integrates advanced technologies such as robotics, big data analytics, and predictive maintenance to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives
Joint Ventures: In collaboration with Zamil Offshore, IMI established the National Shipbuilding Industries Company (NSIC) to focus on Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) construction and MRO services, further strengthening Saudi Arabia's maritime capabilities.

Localization Efforts: IMI is committed to localizing its supply chain and workforce. It has signed agreements with Bahri Logistics to enhance storage and logistics services, supporting the development of a responsive and efficient supply chain within the Kingdom.
