1. Review and Implementation of Standards

Verify that all piping materials, welding procedures, and installations follow industry standards (ASME, API, etc.), client specifications, and project guidelines.

2. Inspection and Testing

Conduct inspections at various stages (material receipt, fabrication, installation).

Perform or witness non-destructive testing (NDT) like radiography, ultrasonic, dye penetrant, or magnetic particle testing.

Ensure hydrostatic and pneumatic testing is carried out properly.

3. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain and review inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and checklists.

Prepare quality reports, weld maps, and test reports.

Track and document welder qualifications and performance.

4. Material Verification

Check heat numbers, material test certificates (MTCs), and ensure correct materials are used.

Verify the correct storage and handling of materials and consumables.

5. Welding Oversight

Monitor welding processes, parameters, and consumables.

Ensure welders are qualified and follow approved welding procedures (WPS).

6. Coordination

Work closely with construction teams, NDT personnel, and third-party inspectors.

Coordinate with client QA/QC reps for inspections and approvals.

7. Punch List and Final Handover

Identify and close quality-related punch items.

Participate in final system walk-downs and ensure all QC documentation is complete for turnover.
