Condition-Based Maintenance: Maintenance that is performed based on the actual condition of equipment, as opposed to a set schedule. This can be informed by data from sensors or manual inspections that indicate when equipment is nearing the point of failure.
Shutdown Maintenance: Involves scheduled, extensive maintenance during planned shutdowns of facilities or equipment. This may include major repairs, overhauls, or upgrades.
