Welder Qualifications: Welders must be qualified and certified according to industry standards (e.g., AWS, ASME) to ensure they can produce quality welds consistently. Regular retraining or requalification may be necessary.

Material Selection and Preparation: The quality of the materials being welded plays a critical role. Proper material selection, cleanliness, and preparation (such as cleaning the surfaces of rust, oil, and other contaminants) ensure good fusion between the base and filler materials.

Inspection and Testing:

Visual Inspection: The most common method to check for surface defects such as cracks, porosity, or uneven weld beads.
